EegiArki is a tool to help people share, receive and reuse pictures and videos of important newsworthy events.
We hope to become a link between "citizen reporters" across the world and other interested citizens, including mainstream newsroom reporters and editors.
Billions of us carry mini newsrooms in our pockets - smartphones. And we use those smartphones to take hundreds of millions of photos every day, and thousands of hours of video footage every minute.
A photo you take could be exactly the photo a newsroom editor or a blogger needs - we want to forge links between these so far disconnected agents, to create a better informed, more efficient way to spread images that matter.
